The Curious Incident

Read up to chapter 97 of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. This will be up to page 27 of the PDF, but page 61 if you have the paperback copy of the novel.

Then write three questions for Wednesday's Socratic Seminar: one analysis, one evaluation, and one creation (prediction) question.

Analysis: Why did Christopher keep investigating who’s the murderer of the dog even his dad didn’t want him to do so?
Evaluation: Do you think Christopher’s dad knew who killed the dog? Do you think is Mrs. Shear the killer, and Christopher’s dad wanted to protect her?
Prediction: Do you think will Christopher find out who killed the dog?

    1) Analytical: How has Christopher's "condition" affected his relationship with those around him?
    2) Evaluation: In what ways is Christopher's "condition" beneficial to his investigation? In what ways is it not?
    3) Prediction: Do you think that, after the events of this story, Christopher's "condition" will improve? Meaning, will he learn some new way to understand those around him?
