There will be a quiz where you will have to identify different poetic elements, such as:

  • figurative language (similes, metaphors, personification)
  • rhyme
  • alliteration
  • assonance
  • consonance
  • refrain
  • parallelism


Start revising one of your poems. The final draft for the poetry contest is due at the end of class on Thursday.
